How To Make Delicious Dal Tadka At Home

Toor Dal (200 gm), Garlic (20 gm), Ginger (20 gm), onion (1 nos.), green chilli (20 gm), tomatoes (2 nos.), oil (50 gm), Diamond Dal Tadka Masala (3 tbsp).

For Tadka: cumin seeds, dried red chilli, Diamond red chilli powder, ghee (purified butter)

Recipe:

  1. Boil Dal in a pressure cooker. Take oil in a pot.
  2. Add chopped onions & sauté till they turn brown.
  3. Add ginger- garlic paste & chopped tomatoes & sauté.
  4. Add Diamond dal Tadka Masala & sauté for 5 minutes.
  5. Add boiled dal to the mixture & let it cook for 5 minutes.
  6. In a pan, add ghee (purified butter), cumin seeds, dried red chilli & Diamond red chilli powder.
  7. Add the ghee mixture over dal as a tadka (tempering).
  8. Garnish it with Coriander & serve hot Dal Tadka with Roti or rice.
